What is the Be Kind Workbook?
This workbook was created because we believe kindness is actually a bit more complicated than it looks on the surface, especially for kids! We wanted to help you support your child to develop their emotional awareness around kindness and teach them about empathy and resilience in the process!
How will this workbook help my child?
This workbook supports conversations with your child about what kindness looks like and how unkind actions don't necessarily make a person unkind!
Sometimes actions are misinterpreted or misunderstood and this booklet helps your child develop their first emotional steps to understanding this area of social interaction.
Through activities, talk sheets and reflection sheets your child will begin to build an awareness of why our brains like kindness, what is behind the unkind actions of others and how to react in difficult social situations so they show kindness, even in small ways.
The workbook finds a balance between empathy and resilience. It empowers children to find their own response to unkindness from others and see bullies from a different perspective.
