General FAQs
What is Ink and Scribbles all about?
Ink and Scribbles is an emotional education resource store. We contribute to children's well-being by supporting parents to emotion coach their children through tools and resources that nurture their emotional intelligence. We believe that collectively, we can use the power that comes from our role as parents to positively benefit our children's generation. Our focus is on connecting parents with their children, to guide them to increased self awareness and emotional intelligence.
Parenting can feel imperfect and messy, but we can leave a positive and enduring mark on our children's emotional health.
Can I use your child wellbeing and emotional intelligence resources if I'm concerned about my child's mental health?
Our resources are a great help to children who are struggling with big emotions in a modern world and give support to their parents, who may not feel confident in knowing where to begin helping their child. They form an effective low level intervention for use at home or by emotion coaches and educators (e.g. teachers or school based wellbeing practitioners). Professionals in the the mental health sector may find our resources add a powerful addition to the more in-depth interventions they offer as part of their practice.
They do not replace the advice of a medical professional and therefore in the event of mental health concerns, you must seek a professional opinion.
How can I pay for an order?
When you checkout you will be given the option of paying by card via Square or Paypal, which accept all major payment debit and credit cards.

Downloads FAQs
Where can I print digital purchases?
You can print your files at home. If you do so, we recommend you set your printer to high quality print settings. Alternatively, you could use a local or online printer service but please ensure our copyright terms are adhered to.
I'm not in England, Scotland or Wales. Why can't I purchase a downloadable item?
The selling of digital items has grown quickly. Laws and regulations are now catching up and taking this huge industry in to account. This means that digital items are subject to sales taxes, just as physical items are. As a small business, being sales tax compliant for multiple countries or states within other countries is complicated and unfortunately we do not have the resources to manage this. Therefore, on our website, we can only make our resources available in UK where we are registered for tax purposes. However, customers from Australia, USA, Canada and any other non EU countries can access our resources through Etsy or TPT as these online marketplaces collect and pay sales taxes on our behalf.
Selling to EU countries (and NI) is now (from 13th December 2024) impacted by new product safety regulations as well as sales tax requirements. This new regulation (GPSR) involves costs and changes that many small businesses, including ourselves, are unable to resource. Current guidance relating to digital products is currently unclear and there are several interpretations. Therefore we have taken the decision to cease selling digital files to the EU and Northern Ireland. If further clarity changes our understanding of how GPSR impacts our downloadable items we will update our customers. For now, we regret that EU and Northern Ireland customers are unable to purchase our resources.
How do I download my files?
You'll need to be on a desktop or laptop computer to download your files as some files are quite large in size. When you check out your files will be instantly available to download from the confirmation page. Alternatively, or if you do purchase via your phone, check your email inbox from your desktop, as your confirmation email will also show your file links under 'Download Information'.
To download, click the underlined link(s) and they will download to your computer. Please check your downloads folder if your browser doesn't show your item. We recommend you save your files to your computer immediately as the links will expire within a 7 day time frame. The files are yours for personal use (see above FAQ) unless bought from the Educators Room.
Computer brands and operating systems vary in terms of how downloads appear on your screen. We ask that you are familiar with your system before purchase as we cannot advise on this.
I'm having issues downloading my files, what should I do?
We know occasionally technology can be a little baffling! We've sold many printable items to happy customers but if you do happen to come across any issues with your download we are here to help you navigate them. That's a promise.
Common trouble shooting solutions include:
If these don't solve your issues you can:

We know occasionally technology can be a little baffling! We've sold many printable items to happy customers but if you do happen to come across any issues with your download we are here to help you navigate them. That's a promise.
Common trouble shooting solutions include:
- Ensuring your computer can open ZIP files. Most computer operating systems can do this without you needing to do a thing! If you're running an old system, you might consider updating your software or downloading ZIP opening software. Please note we aren't tech experts so can't advise on operating systems or software.
- If you're having trouble downloading from the order conformation page, check your inbox for the order confirmation email and download the ZIP file(s) from the 'Download Information' section.
- Downloading from a workplace device. Some customers have experienced issues due to workplace security settings blocking the download. Try downloading at home on a personal device, or contact us (see below).
If these don't solve your issues you can:
- Email us at [email protected] and we will happily help you receive your files. We can transfer them to you in their PDF file format using a secure file sharing platform (we use Dropbox or Google Drive). It's super easy and you'll simply get an email with a link to click and your PDF files will be available.

Use of Purchases and Copyright
Can I share digital purchases?
Digital purchases from our Kids Den Shop give you unlimited personal use of that product. This means you can use them with up to 6 children which is perfect for use at home or for use with a small amount of children. You may save the files to your computer. They are for personal use only, which means they are not for sharing, reproducing or reselling.
We also have a section of the website called The Educators Room dedicated to those who work with children, such as coaches, teachers and therapists. Purchases from this section include extended use licences, which allow use with multiple children within a professional capacity. The Educators Extended Licence gives more flexibility than The Kids Den Licence but still does not permit reproducing or reselling. You can read about The Educators Den Extended License here.
Can you explain more about copyright and what that means for me if I purchase your resources?
Copyright of an item is automatically assigned when an original piece of work is created. As we are the authors of our resources, it means the text and overall design is our intellectual property and © Ink and Scribbles is stated on each resource for this reason. Our resources have been registered and ownership certified with a copyright protection company to help us protect our creative work from infringements and digital theft.
Our items are designed for use by parents, educators and therapists to use with the children they care aboout and work with. This means that you can use our materials in the manner they are intended for, i.e. personal use for up to 6 children (education of your child) or extended use with children you work with (purchase from The Educators Room for use with more than 6 children). The licence terms and conditions explain how our resources can be used in detail. A copy is included with every purchase.
Our copyright protected materials mean that you can not reproduce our text or overall design and claim it as your work.
We do not offer licences for commercial resell under any circumstances.
You must not resell our resources.
